Welcome to Cognac.

Friday April 25th was the official opening of the pre training center at Cognac.
An uphill gallop that can be used all year long is undoubtedly a plus for our horses who, in the deep sand of la Palmyre can improve their condition and stamina more than their speed and action.

This new pre training center will welcome young horses or older ones back after a long time off.

The plastic post and rails offer a maximum of safety.
The horses in Cognac are fed exactly like in la Palmyre which allows last minute swaps with no risk of food adaptation.

The walker allows every horse to be outside between 1h30 and 2 hours per day. Therefore the horse is given plenty of time to warm up before work and cool down after exercise.

The closeness of Cognac is very convenient for Guillaume Macaire to go there quite often and sometimes to take our “home” jockeys for more “serious” work.
Some of our horses have already been there for a few weeks and it seems that the first results are very encouraging.

Finally, the yards are fully equipped: showers, veterinary box and solarium.
