Mid August
The 15th of August is traditionnally a big day at Pompadour where Maritorne was a winner ridden by Jacques Ricou and where the grey Corezien de la Brunie who belongs to a local owner, Mr. Chabassier won the “big race”, the “Grand cross”, ridden by David Cottin. This is a very spectacular race and a prestigious win!
At the same time at Vichy, beginner Nictory Vote won for his first time out over hurdles, appreciating very much that his owner, Donald Galt, had crossed the Channel in order to encourage him!
Bravo!
In the local hurdle race, Leader du Cochet was runner up, but he has an excuse as he was not really prepared for this race, his main target being Craon in September.
