The racecourse of Compiegne is undoubtedly where he fell in love with horses and decided to dedicate his life to them.
After a short career of amateur jockey he settled as a trainer with a few horses in his hometown.
He then moved to Maisons Laffite (the most famous place in France for jump horses).
After a stay in the Dordogne, he finally settled down in Royan La Palmyre ( South West of France) where his yard is.
Ever since he started, he has won races regularly, improving his results every year.
The stable now accomodates approximately 100 horses.
The training center is located on the “hippodrome de la côte de beauté”, in La Palmyre (one hour from La Rochelle and Bordeaux either way).
The horses run at Auteuil, in the province, but also in UK, Italy, Belgium and Germany where Guillaume Macaire has won several grade races.
