Auteuil and Nancy.
First time for his new owner, Mrs. Magdalen Bryant, Quicody, runner up in the prix Jacques d’Indy, GrIII, ran very promisingly as it was his first time over hurdles at Auteuil. Quicody needs to learn how to “battle” but he should make consistant progress throughout the year.
With a different (better) scenario, Sir Dal would not have won but would have been a very probable runner up.
Les Petits Carres did not run up to any of our expectations, we do not know why yet and are going to make investigations to find out.
Kruscyna did not jump the first obstacles very fluently and the efforts she made at the beginning of the race cost her the win after the last jump, especially in very heavy ground. The same sort of race, in better ground obviously, shoul lead her to succes on Auteuil steeple chase.
NANCY.
First win over Nancy hurdles for Mister Vassy, Mr. John Cotton’s horse who had only run once last year. Let us hope that his true carrer is starting now.
His travel companion, Alfieri also won for the first time but over the chase. This horse has also had problems, it is only his third time out when he is five years old.
